The conference, held Feb. 16-17 at the , shatteredr the previous record of 820 attendees set in when the event was heldin Winston-Salem. “We are excitede to see Biotech 2009 break our previous conferenceattendanc records,” CED President Joan Siefert Rose said in a writtenh statement. “It speaks to the fact that there is a thrivintg biotechnology industry inNorth Carolina.” A star-studded lineup of speakersd also helped to draw attendees.
