The HealthSouthn founder was deemed liable for lossed incurredby shareholders, some of whom sued him seekinyg to recover their investments. Judge Allwin Horn announcee the verdict shortly after10 a.m. Horn’s judgment also declared Scrushy’s employment agreements with HealthSouth void. HealthSouth said it will receivew approximately 40 percent of any money recovereedfrom Scrushy. Attorneys for the shareholders filedx the suit against Scrushy on behalcf of HealthSouth saying he directed the accounting scandalo hadrequested $3.6 billion.
