Shattuck allegedly obtained $257,000 from investors that was to be used to builf a car washin Northglenn, but mislee those investors by “falsely portraying” his personal finances and failinb to disclose a previous bankruptcy, accordingg to Suthers’ office. Shattuck allegedlu got the funds from three investorzs from April toNovember 2006. Investigators from Suthers’ officer and the Northglenn Policse Department also allege Shattuckused $15,000 from a $450,000 business loan he received in Januart 2007 to pay off personalp debt.
Clark Mineral Trust LLC allegedlyy made the loan to a Shattuck companhy called Construction Specialists to develop a housing subdivision in Weld County calledSandstone Ridge. Shattuck turnefd himself in to authorities onJune 24. The attorneh general’s office said it will prosecute Shattuck in Adamsx CountyDistrict Court. Shattuck is scheduled to appear in courgon Aug. 13.
